Our cafe is closed just for now, as we undergo some winter upgrades.
We’ll be open again soon, looking smart and fresh. In the meantime, visitors are more than welcome to join us in the house for tea and coffee and all those good things, sat in front of the drawing room fire.View Garden Map
Our gardens are access friendly and can be entered at ground level, without encountering any steps.
Please note that our courtyard area is gravelled and is therefore a little more effort to traverse than some other areas of the garden.
Brick and stone paths form walkways around the majority of the grounds, and the various grassed paths and areas of lawn are also entirely open to prams, wheelchairs and electric mobility vehicles.
The cafe is directly wheelchair accessible, and we are able to assist with entry to our restaurant.
Access bathroom facilities are available both in the garden (from Apr 2019) and in the Main House.
A garden is always a series of losses set against a few triumphs, like life itself. May Sarton
