The Salutation Tea Room was first set up in 1976 when the Gardens were originally open.  Today, we very much hope to replicate the by-gone function of "taking tea", as was very much the fashion in Edwardian times when The Salutation was built. A feeling of comfort and relaxation; a little like taking tea at The Savoy.  In doing this we felt it important to support the teas with as traditional accompaniments as appropriate, so the tables, wall lights, crockery and the tea stands, upon which our cream teas are presented, were all made specifically for The Savoy Hotel.  We very much hope you will enjoy the experience.

The Tea Rooms are open from 10 am until 6 pm, Monday to Saturday, the same as the gardens, where we are serving Tea Forte teas, herbal teas and freshly ground coffees; home-made cakes (actually baked on site), light lunches and a selection of Cream Teas.  The Tea Room can be contacted on 01304 612730.
